Prayer Shawl recipients April 2017
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry began on October 16, 2016, with our first meeting. We were blessed to be able to present two shawls on December 4, 2016, to Kate Clark and Martha Mackey. We will be giving shawls quarterly throughout the years to follow. I would like to thank Audrey Jackson for her dedication and excellent work. She has been a great help in getting us started on our way to a thriving ministry.
Please join us for our monthly meetings on the third Sunday of the month, after worship, in the Fellowship Hall. We will pray over and create prayer shawls to present to those in our congregation who are going through difficult times and could use some comfort, care, and love. It is our hope that we can remind people that they are loved and never forgotten by sharing the prayer shawls we create for them.
Prayer Shawl recipients December 2016
Beginners are welcome, and we have yarn, knitting needles, crochet hooks and patterns to get you started. At our monthly meetings we can discuss our projects and possible recipients, and pray together over them as we create them. During the month we work on the shawls at home. I think you will find this ministry to be rewarding and fun!
